Robert and Andrew found me on Married in Milwaukee (which is such a wonderful planning resource for couples who are planning a wedding in Southeastern Wisconsin). I knew in our initial consultation that we would have an amazing time working together and that their Glam Milwaukee wedding would be full of joy. They met at the very beginning of the pandemic and also their love blossomed as the world shut down.
that their wedding would be full of joy. They met at the very beginning of the pandemic and also their love blossomed as the world shut down.
I was so excited for their wedding as it was my team’s first wedding at the brand new Bradley Symphony Center (owned and operated by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra). The historic 1920’s art deco lobby and theater were painstakingly renovated to their former glory and an adjacent also, modern event space was built next to the theater. Robert and Andrew decided to embrace the 1920’s art deco, old Hollywood feel of the historic theater with their style and design also. Their wedding party wore metallic floor length dresses and classic, timeless black tuxedos. I’m not kidding when I say it looked like they stepped out of a glamorous 1920’s photoshoot!
After getting ready in an upstairs event space, the couple had their first look on the venue’s gorgeous spiral staircase. Then headed outside into Downtown Milwaukee for wedding party photos. Guests arrived and were seated in the gilded historic lobby and also were greeted by a string quartet as they waited for the ceremony. Andrew’s childhood friend, who is a judge, married them. The ceremony was beautiful, heartfelt, and joyful.
After the couple was officially married, guests moved into the Bradley Pavilion next door for cocktails and tray passed appetizers. Before being ushered upstairs into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. A delicious meal was enjoyed by all and also then everyone danced the night away to the sounds of a fantastic live band, Orchestra 33. Guests also enjoyed a candy bar designed by Robert instead of wedding cake and also everyone was thrilled to try something new.
Love is love and we love every kind of love there is. We were honored to be a part of Robert and Andrew’s incredible wedding and wish the all the best.
