Liz and Jackson’s love story began with a swipe on Bumble in 2019, and since then, it has blossomed through the challenges of a pandemic, the joy of adopting their beloved dog, Diggie, and the journey of building a life together in Milwaukee. Their beautiful wedding at Plant No. 4 in Milwaukee’s Third Ward neighborhood was a true reflection of their unique style, personalities, and deep love for each other.
Jackson and Liz envisioned a chic, contemporary, and joyful wedding set in their beloved city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their choice of Plant No. 4 as the venue perfectly complemented their clean, minimalist color palette, creating an atmosphere of modern sophistication. The day unfolded at the Kimpton Journeyman, where the couple, surrounded by their wedding party, shared an intimate first look. From there, the festivities continued with a photo session against the picturesque backdrop of Milwaukee’s Lake Michigan shores and the Historic Third Ward, the neighborhood housing their chosen venue. As guests arrived at Plant No. 4 for the ceremony, they were greeted with personalized “newspapers” instead of traditional programs, adding a delightful twist to the proceedings. The ceremony, officiated by Jackson’s grandfather, added a deeply personal touch to the celebration. Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests ascended to the Bianco Room on the 7th floor for cocktails by Over the Moon and appetizers by Chef Jack’s Catering. Simultaneously, on the venue’s first floor, the expert vendor team flawlessly executed the room flip, bringing Liz and Jackson’s vision to life. Drew Hawley from Flowers for Dreams contributed elegant, simple, yet modern floral arrangements that adorned the venue. The focal point was the head table, strategically placed beneath the venue’s vintage ladder ceiling installation. Flowers for Dreams adorned the ladder with greenery, repurposing bridesmaids’ bouquets and incorporating beautiful candles for an enchanting effect. A mix of high and low centerpieces added balance to the room. After a delectable plated dinner by Chef Jack’s Catering, the couple cut their small cake from Simma’s Bakery. The dessert offerings expanded with mini ice cream cones and ice cream sandwiches from Purple Door Ice Cream, a local favorite of the couple. A special highlight of the evening was the presence of Diggy, the couple’s dog, who stole the show during photos in the Third Ward and made a grand entrance alongside Liz and Jackson to Notorious BIG’s “Hypnotize.” This clever nod to their dog’s name added a playful and personal touch to the celebration. Sound by Design kept the energy high as guests danced the night away, creating a truly memorable and unique celebration filled with personal touches that reflected the essence of Jackson and Liz’s love story.
